Step-by-Step Project (12 minutes):
Open a new Excel workbook
Create these headers in row 1:
A1: Student Name
B1: Student Number
C1: Test 1
D1: Test 2
E1: Assignment
F1: Term Average
Phase 2: Enter Student Data (4 minutes) Add 8 students (use real names or these examples):
Row 2: Thabo Molefe, 2024001, 78, 82, 85
Row 3: Lerato Dlamini, 2024002, 65, 70, 68
Row 4: Michael van Zyl, 2024003, 92, 89, 94
Row 5: Aisha Patel, 2024004, 56, 62, 58
Row 6: John Mthembu, 2024005, 73, 77, 75
Row 7: Nomsa Khoza, 2024006, 45, 48, 52
Row 8: David Johnson, 2024007, 87, 83, 89
Row 9: Fatima Ahmed, 2024008, 69, 74, 71
Phase 3: Add Formulas (3 minutes)
Click F2 and type: =AVERAGE(C2:E2)
Press Enter (Thabo's average appears)
Copy this formula to F3:F9 (select F2, Ctrl+C, select F3:F9, Ctrl+V)
Add class average in F11: =AVERAGE(F2:F9)
Phase 4: Professional Formatting (2 minutes)
Make headers bold (select A1:F1, press Ctrl+B)
Auto-fit all columns (double-click between each column header)
Add borders to all data (select A1:F11, apply All Borders)
Center the headers (select A1:F1, click center alignment)
